When you walk into a jewellery store and see all the diamonds in the diverse settings that are for sale, it is hard to notice that diamonds are truly rare. For each 1,000,000 diamonds that are mined, just one will be found that could be a quality one caret diamond. To find a 2 caret diamond, about 5,000,000 diamonds must be mined. There had been an enormous find at a diamond prospecting site beside the mine he was at work on. The diamond had basically ended up in the slag heap because the scale of the diamond was so big it slipped thru their xray machine and ended up in the mine dump.
